I’ve been a busy boy for the last couple of years and I really did not realize how some of my sites had become sadly out of date.

How could I have let DilbeckMarketing.com languish without updating some of the most important pages for months, and some of them for almost two years?

When I was looking at the site yesterday, I realized how neglected it was, so I worked all night to update it. Some sections and pages were removed and some new pages were added. All the remaining pages were updated.

I’m going to try not to let the site get into such a sad state, again.

If I had it to do all over again, I would not have created nearly 50 sites over the last couple of years. In fact, I would have concentrated my efforts on only four or five sites at the most. Hopefully, you won’t follow my path through some of the failed marketing experiments I tried in 2006 and 2007.

2008 is around the corner and I’m looking forward to further concentrating my efforts on a much smaller set of websites, forums, and blogs.

Thomas Edison once said that he had learned thousands of ways to not make a lightbulb.

I’ve learned thousands of ways to not build an online marketing business. Fortunately, I discovered a few gold nuggets in the piles of fools gold.

In 2008, I’m going to try to mine for more of those gold nuggets and leave the mountains of fools gold to someone else - hopefully it won’t be you.
